Specifications are the key documents that allow the builder to develop the design as well as the concepts for hull and superstructure. This is the point where the owners ideas start to come to life, and initial plans can be made for the construction.
Using our extensive knowledge of vessel contracts and experienced legal advice, we can help put together, review and negotiate the build contracts with the ship yards. Shipyards write contracts all the time for new vessels, and they know what they need to write to protect themselves as well as limit their exposure during and after the build when the guarantee process starts. We know how the shipyards work.
Our team is very experienced with managing new build vessels, and can provide build project management and technical surveying and inspection services during the construction phase. This is an absolutely critical time where we ensure that the build standards are achieved and maintained throughout. We work with the class surveyors to ensure compliance is achieved first time.
After delivery of your vessel, we then move into the guarantee phase to manage the failures during the agreed contractual guarantee period. Keeping you sailing and settling with the builder, and keeping the blame game in check will ensure your vessel is kept in top shape by the accountable party.
