Our engineers are all from commercial passenger shipping with backgrounds in engineering, electrical systems and naval architecture. Independent surveys for owners, managers and purchasers.

TenMicron Ltd carries out independent surveys for vessel owners and purchasers. We are not tied to or work with any brokers, and exist to provide fully independent objective surveys to give a layer of confidence that what is being purchased or sold is what is advertised. Owners call us when they are selling, purchasers call us when they want to go through a vessel in detail. We also provide specialist failure analysis and reporting for all vessel systems in the case of insurance claims or warranty works, and have a network of specialist providers who can assist in resolving technical issues including legal concerns.

Surveying

Surveys are conducted not only during class renewal or by port states, we also manage owner surveys for the purchase and sale of large private vessels, and provide independent reports and advice for any party requesting the survey. We are fully independent with no ties to any manufacturer or other party, allowing us to remain objective throughout the survey process.

Consulting

Our knowledge is our best asset, and we provide independent consulting services for technical systems, new builds, vessel operations and services for when things have not quite gone to plan. We act as owners representative on insurance claims and have specialist maritime legal services available.

Emergency Crew

TenMicron Ltd has licensed engineers who remain current with unlimited Master and Chief Engineer ratings. We can provide emergency crew for short periods for vessel relocation or for any situation where a vessel needs to be crewed at very short notice until a full crew is sourced or arrives to the vessel.

IT & AV

All aspects of vessel IT systems are handled by TenMicron Ltd. We provide installation & maintenance of core networking and security, ensuring that the system is designed to work for the crew. We can provide 24 hour remote support and also in person support at short notice based on agreed SLA, and manage users and networks as they would be in a shore side environment.

Where do you provide services?

We can provide services worldwide in most cases, and depending on workload we aim to be on the vessel within 36 hours, or 12-24 hours if urgent and dependent on vessel location.

Can you provide expertise over the phone or by messaging?

Yes, we do this a lot. Talking to a crew member and having any relevant drawings being sent to us, we can and have many time assisted with a fault or issue without direct intervention.

Can you post some projects you have completed?

We are happy to discuss in a generic manner the projects and works we have completed, and to share the feedback from the ship owners, managers and crew, but we do not publish pictures or comments of our works for the privacy of our clients. If you are reading this website, it is most likely due to a referral from one of our clients as we do not actively advertise.
